Ukrainian press: between past and future
Abstract: In this article the Author attempts to generalize experience of countries with socialistic past; their way towards informational independence primarily from the state and its apparatus; generalize the consequences of this process for the printed press. In the course of research, we singled out a wide range of factors of legal, practical and psychological nature that prevented quick and effective elimination of the Soviet vestige, namely the communal press.
