Magazine «Radio. Broadcasting. Listening. Machinery. Amateurship» and its Role in Formation Ukrainian Soviet Radio Broadcasting 30's - Early 40's of the 20th Century.

In the history of Ukraine, the period of the 1930s - early 1940s of the 20th century was marked by the formation of the national Soviet statehood, which led to the emergence of a totalitarian regime. In order to explain every issue of social life, the party and the state actively used a single totalitarian ideology, which created an ideological monopoly on truth. The role of the leader of this ideology, among other media, was taken over by radio broadcasting. It is noteworthy that at that turbulent time there was a specialized publication that covered all aspects of the functioning of the radio, as evidenced by the name of the magazine - "Radio. Broadcasting. Listening. Machinery. Amateurship".
The purpose of the article is to find out the ways in which the magazine acquired the characteristics of one of the main tools for the establishment of Ukrainian Soviet radio broadcasting. Among the tasks, we distinguish the following: to study the thematic direction of the publication's materials, to investigate the essential and structural characteristics of the content.
In order to achieve the goal and solve the problems, such methods as historical, empirical, the method of content analysis, and the method of generalization were used.
The novelty of the article lies in the fact that an attempt was made to study in detail such a media phenomenon of the mentioned period as the radio press and its role in the socio-political processes of Soviet Ukraine in the 1930s - early 1940s of the 20th century.

Keywords: totalitarian regime, Ukrainian Soviet radio broadcasting, radio movement, radiofication, radiobroadcasting.
