Basic library services by the Vasyl Stefanyk National Scientific Library of Ukraine in Lviv

In acc. with the Law of Ukraine “On libraries and library business” of Jan., 27th, 1995, the library borrowers of the above-mentioned Library have a right to:

• Gain access to the data concerning the working hours of the Vasyl Stefanyk National Scientific Library of Ukraine in Lviv and its departments as well as access to the valid “Regulations of the Vasyl Stefanyk National Scientific Library of Ukraine in Lviv use”.
• Gain information as to the availability of the documents in demand as well their location.
• Make use of the Library’s reference and bibliography tool (the electronic catalogue and the card catalogues system).
• Loan the documents from the Library reserves for temporary use in its reading rooms in acc. with “Regulations of the Vasyl Stefanyk National Scientific Library of Ukraine in Lviv use”.
• Loan items belonging to the Library on subscription for temporary use (this service only applies to certain patron categories acc. to “Regulations of the Vasyl Stefanyk National Scientific Library of Ukraine in Lviv use”).
• Get access to electronic reserves.
• Receive parol staff members’ consultations and bibliographical references (up to 15 min.) regarding the data sources search.
• Learn new acquisitions in the Library’s reading rooms belonging to the Scientific and Research Work and the Reference and Information Work Departments.
• Visit the subject exhibitions as well as make use of the related materials in the Library’s reading rooms.
• Visit the cultural and educational events held by the Library.
