Vladyslav Pelcharskyi (1862–1891) is a little-known sculptor in Ukrainian art history. Today, the main information about the artist’s life and work is provided by small publications in periodicals of the late 19^th century, catalogs of exhibitions in which he participated, and dictionaries. The article is based on an album of photographs, engravings, and drawings (575 items), which were collected by V. Pelcharskyi and kept in the collection of Vasyl Stefanyk National Scientific Library of Ukraine in Lviv. The artist’s collection is divided into two parts, the first of which is formed mainly by images of sculptures, and the second - by images of monumental and easel paintings. Most of them are works of Antiquity and the Renaissance. Alongside them are images of works by French artists from 19^th century, about whom very little was written in the following decades. The article presents a work signed by the Spanish artist Ulpiano Checa, mentions a drawing by the little-known German artist Hermann Kühn, and several academic studies by V. Pelczarskyi. The analysis of the album reveals the aesthetic priorities of the artist and the society of his time. It is proved that most of them were the focus of attention of art experts, studied, and popularised. The article presents new facts about the life and work of V. Pelcharskyi.
